Brandy had her derby career frozen. As soon as we finished boot camp, she found out she was pregnant! It was sad not having her silly, smiling face at practices. When she asked about doing a boudoir bump session, the gears started turning. These are one of my FAVORITE type of sessions to do, and I knew she would be an excellent model for me! I wasn't wrong. We had so much fun taking photos at the Joshua Inn Bed & Breakfast in Hollister.
We joked about if the baby girl would come early or late, and about how there really wasn't much room left to grow in Brandy's tummy. Little did we know.....! On her way home from our shoot, Brandy informed me that her water had broken. 6 hours after our session, baby girl was born- 3 and a half weeks early!!
Brandy was beautiful and glowing. I decided to showcase the black & white theme of the session. Ladies, if you know anyone who is pregnant and wanting to feel pretty, wants an elegant memory of pregnancy, send them my way! (Or hey, just regular, old-fashioned boudoir would be great too!)
Congratulations to Brandy, hubby, and big sister! <3
]]>We met at Garin Park, and had a fun time crunching through the leaves, and letting these little kids ham it up for the camera. They were a great bunch to hang out with for an hour on a Sunday afternoon!

Richards family has been a part of my husbands life for years and years. I like to say we go wayyyyy back. No matter how much time passes in between seeing them or hanging out with them, each and every time is full of laughter and smiles!
I'm excited to see how life evolves and changes for Rich & Michelle as they take these next steps in their relationship!
I loved doing the pictures for you guys! Seriously! <3! Linda

My team is raising funds for new uniforms, and training equipment. Roller derby is a strenuous sport that requires more than just throwing your skates on a couple times a week! We would love for you to be a part of our cause, and maybe purchase one or two of our calendars! If you are not able to help monetarily, even sharing this post to help get the word out is MUCH appreciated.
Enjoy some of my favorite photos from the session! These are not in the calendar so...I'm not spoiling anything. I just had to brag & share some of my beautiful teammates!
Our team is the Faultline Derby Devilz, you can find us on Instagram & Facebook. Our website is under construction, but feel free to save it in your bookmarks!
You may purchase calendars HERE.
If you are local in the San Francisco Bay Area, contact me directly. I have limited stock that can be delivered free of shipping costs.
Roll on!!!

Our day turned out perfect. Their "wedding photos" turned out beautifully, and it really has that whole princess, fairytale, happily ever after vibe. And honestly, who doesn't love the beach. It totally set the tone!
Happy Anniversary, Keith & Amanda! :*

We started planning the shoot a few months in advance. With a fall theme in mind, we figured mid September would be the perfect time. Well. The outfits, props, and settings all came together beautifully. One problem--- the weather. The bay area hit a weekend heatwave. My poor couple had to be wearing fall/winter type clothing in 85 degree heat.
Erik & Ann, I had SUCH a fun time with you both for those few hours. Getting to know you better and learn more about your lives made for a great afternoon of photos. I'm so happy with the way these turned out. Thanks for being troopers in the heat. I'm honored that you chose me for your pictures, and I can't wait to meet the newest addition when he arrives!

Over 4th of July weekend I had such a beautiful mama, dad, baby, and grandmother appointment! I was staying up in the Bay Area for the week, and scheduled to meet at Shoreline Park in Mountain View. I've been to Shoreline numerous times, and remembered the numerous nature areas that would be pretty backgrounds in the photos.
When I arrived a little bit early, I ran into a few setbacks. First, there were two different weddings going on at the park! The small parking areas were overflowing or completely blocked off. Second, being a holiday weekend, the park was offering numerous water sport clinics on their little lake. Third, and lastly, there was crazy wind! I parked in a distant lot, and hiked over to the main park with all my camera things & accessories in tow.
The family arrived, and I started snapping away. They were super good sports! The wind had us taking a little tour around the grassy areas, in search of some calm air. Their 6 month old daughter really did great. It took almost half an hour to get her to crack a smile though! Mom, dad, & grandma all did their best and worked all their usual magic. Grandma finally cracked her!
The wind handicapped us a little, but we still came out with some great photos :)

This graduation shoot was a special one. My youngest cousin is graduating from high school. Officially marking the fact that all of us cousins are actually grownups. Really doesn't feel like it. But apparently, that's the truth!
I met over at my relatives house, and within a few minutes, had the Jeep loaded up and on our way. First stop was an abandoned trestle area. My aunt and my big puppy Gus, an Italian Mastiff, looked on as I snapped away. After finishing at that spot, we swooped up another cousin from work, and headed over to the coast for the remainder of pictures.
I'm only going to share a few here so that I don't ruin the surprise of which photos she'll be using in her graduation ceremony! I really love how they turned out. And seriously. How. is. she. grown. up.
How are any of us grown up!?

I met Amber when my derby team launched their yearly bootcamp. She stood out to me right away as somebody I could hangout with. Learning that she had a son close in age to my own, and that our schedules were similar sealed the deal! Her little family is adorable. It was so tough choosing which photos I wanted to share with you. Here goes!
In honor of Mother's Day this weekend, I wanted to start off with just that. The loving bond of mother & son.

I was able to meet up with this cute little family, and spend some time wandering the grounds with them. Boys are always a handful, and Hunter was exactly that! A big personality in a little body. They were so easy going to work with, it made the hour fly by.
]]>Last week I was contacted by a mother needing baby photos done ASAP for her newest little guy. Relatives were visiting from out of town, and as most new moms know, it's so SO easy to fall behind in the little details, like birth announcements. I checked my calendar and squeezed baby Elias in 3 days later.
I never know what to expect when I do a baby session. Some babies are cranky, some are happy, some sleep the whole time. It's a photographers roulette that keeps each photo shoot fresh and new! Elias was ADORABLE. He wanted to be watching the camera and what sounds this weird lady was making. For the entire hour(his normal napping time) he was grunting, moving, and giving me tons of different faces!
Elias was one of the easiest babies I've had the chance to photograph so far.
